Privacy Policy

How INOZA handles information shared through this website and our public programmes.

Effective date: 2 October 2026

1. Who we are

Inuka Ongoza Africa (INOZA) is a social enterprise that provides leadership development tools, programmes, events, and professional networks for young people across Africa. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@inoza.africa.

2. Information we collect

We collect information that you choose to provide when you contact us, subscribe to updates, express interest in INOZA Connect, register for a programme, or purchase a book. This may include:

  • Your name, email address, telephone number, and country.
  • Your organisation, programme, or partnership interests.
  • Your selected book format, quantity, delivery preference, and Uganda delivery address where applicable.
  • Your chosen manual payment method and the payment proof you upload.
  • Your purchase-order status, payment-confirmation status, and delivery history.
  • The contents of messages you send to us.
  • Basic technical information recorded by our web server for reliability and security.

The website does not request or store card details, mobile-money PINs, online-banking passwords, or e-wallet credentials. Payment proofs are available only to authorised purchase administrators.

3. How we use information

We use submitted information to respond to enquiries, manage subscriptions, communicate about programmes and events, improve our services, maintain website security, and comply with applicable obligations.

4. Sharing and disclosure

INOZA does not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate programmes or communications, when required by law, or when necessary to protect participants, INOZA, or the public. Providers are expected to use information only for the agreed purpose.

5. Storage and security

We apply reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Purchase orders and payment proofs are stored outside public website access, and administrative access requires authentication. No internet-based system can be guaranteed completely secure, so payment proofs should show only the information needed to confirm the transaction.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for programme records, or to satisfy legal and operational requirements.

7. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, or to stop receiving non-essential communications. Email info@inoza.africa with your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

8. External links

Our website links to social platforms and other organisations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and INOZA is not responsible for third-party websites.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
